I am well aware of the asexuality spectrum. I respect it.

I think that when people say that limerence, infatuation, crushes and love must be combined with sexual attraction, they are disrespecting those that are asexual. That's because asexual people are fully capable of feeling / having all of those, but by mixing it up with sexual attraction it looks like they wouldn't be.

That is called *Platonic* love, not "Limerence", imo.

Platonic love and limerence can coexist: https://medium.com/@geminigerald77/co-e ... fc5c5adef6

Honestly, 90% of that article is waffle.
It is more of a blog than anything else:

A "pinch of limerence" is hardly a convincing argument, to me.
Sorry. 8)

 That's right Pepe! I can't keep this conversation straight any more. Love is love. Crushes are crushes. All the rest of the words and definitions sound like a grand illusion or a cerebral activity used to imagine who the other person is, emotionally or sexually. I'd rather get to know someone in person and take it from there whatever happens. I don't know what that's called in the early stages, but it's definitely fun! By the way the word romance originally meant 'adventure'. I'll take an adventure over a definition any day!
