I don't like how Punctual hosts the friday night chats. I hate how she has to try and make conversation even if people are fine and just want to lurk. And fakes interest in things so obviously when doing that (like "so tell us about your heavy metal collecton"). I guess thats just what you get with a site run by aspies for aspies. I wish the friday chat was just left alone with no host. as long as this is the slag off AV thread now.

You could try the WP chat. It seems to be empty half the time anyway with tons of lurkers in the mist.

Well i mean lurk in between times you want to talk so you can still see the conversation and follow where it is going, but just rest to get your head clear and wait till there is a subject you can join with. I think it is a good idea in theory its probably just the way she does it.

though I'm on the queue they just approved a post where I mocked earl purple calling him decrepit and ancient. Guess they did not know what those words meant. And I didn't mean it in a harmless bantery way either. I meant it nastily.

He just quite a course in hacking at a university recently. He's a major computer nut. He left the course because it was poorly taught and they were trying to swinge money out of the students. At the moment he has the entire database of this university (with every student and employee of the place's e-mails and personal records) up on one of his servers.

Now he wants to do electronic engineering.

So geologist+hacker. Not quite the combo i think smudge is looking for.

Plus I would not let him anywhere near your computer or know you even have one

I dont know what he's gonna do with this uni's database. It's like a major breach of the data protection act what him n his course mates did but then it goes to show how piss poor security is at these places and most organisations have very little idea how to secure confidential data.
