I'm new here, and glad to see some guys get it. The comments by mechanicalgirl39 are a perfect example of what RICKY5 wrote. Everything I see here by mechanicalgirl39 is exactly wrong. While I don't much care for Roissy, he knows what he is talking about. Women generally don't.

So you honestly think that a guy should follow advice like XIII?

Just do what you want, touch her in any way you want, and if she says NO, you should ignore it and keep forcing yourself on her?

Do you want some young man who doesn't know better to end up a) in jail and b) leaving some woman feeling very violated and broken for the rest of her life?

Do you really?

No. I didn't sat guys should follow Roissy's advice, only that he knows what he is talking about. XIII will work for guys like Roissy but not for most guys here. My advice to men here is simply to forget about trying to date women in feminist countries, which is a waste of time. Men here should look for women in non-feminist countries. Women in feminist countries are too busy having sex with men like Roissy to bother with decent men.

I am from a moderately feminist country. I wouldn't go near a man like Roissy.

How would you be able to identify a guy like that if you met him? seriously.

It's not like they wear t-shirts with the commandments on them.

I don't believe you. I believe you are sincere in saying this, but I believe that if a guy like Roissy went after you, he would get you. Of course there is a tiny, minuscule chance that I am wrong, but it is too insignificant to worry about. My experience supports what RICKY5 said, that there is no connection between what women say and what they do.

Generalizations have exceptions, but this doesn't make generalization invalid. Generalizations apply generally, in most cases, and so one should make decisions based on them. And generally, American women are attracted to the worst men, so good men should not waste their time going after American women.

edit: I just looked at mechanicalgirl39's profile. She has a body piercing. Therefore the chance that I am wrong is now zero.

No, it doesn't make the generalization invalid. But it's kind of stupid to make decisions based off of said generalization.

Why? If something is true 99% of the time, you wouldn't make a decision from that? Do you believe in inductive reasoning?

Lol. If you say so.

And now you are somehow deducing that since I have a piercing, I would be attracted to a chauvinist idiot who would treat me like a child and force sexual advances on me.

I'm not American, btw. Now run along and get back in your playpen.

This is the kind of condescending comment that you will never hear made by women from a non-feminist country. I really for sorry for the sucker that mechanicalgirl39 will marry. When the husband irritates her, she will say "Now run along and get back in your playpen." Poor guy.

The answer is to give up on women as soulmates. A lot of guys here have never been exposed to a decent looking woman other than her making fun of him in his high school class. Now that I know what dating is really all about, it's hard to want it. Hollywood does a good job of promoting love, but it's not all it's cracked up to be.

The other problem is, as fs has touched on, is that American women are spoiled. Even a girl that's a 2 on the 10 scale gets men coming after her since she has female private parts. Said 2 on the 10 scale has her ego inflated. Now imagine a girl that's a 6 or 7 on the 10 scale, let alone a 9 or 10. Women have many options, and only choose the hot, cool guy, even if they aren't models themselves.

It was the 80's. I was in my 20's. This guy who was peripheral to my circle of friends started saying Rosissy-ish things to my face. You would think men would want to keep this sort of stuff on the down low but no. He actually said to me "I can get any woman to sleep with me just by doing these things. I can get you to sleep with me. Just wait and see." Needless to say, I didn't.

LOL. I won't need to. I'll be marrying a sane intelligent guy who will treat me as an equal, as another intelligent adult. Not as a poor, addled idiot who cannot understand her own mind.

The odds are actually more likely that a guy like Roissy actually did go after her and failed. A guy like Roissy went after me (20 years ago- this is hardly new). He had the nerve to state his maxims to my face and say they always worked and would work on me too. They didn't.

And what you've said so far about "women" isn't condescending?

It's good we women have gained human rights. We might as well be living like goats tied up to polls just to screw if we don't deserve to be treated as the human beings we are.

Yes I do. I also believe in not judging someone until you get to know them. Doing so is the basis for almost any form of discrimination that has ever existed.
