Like men, you mean? Violence against them is a form of conventional humour bought into by public television here? Women being hit in the ovaries probably isn't an acceptable thing to base several comedy shows on. But here in Europe, my money goes towards paying for comedy television shows based on the premise of men's testicles getting hurt in awful ways. You should hear women in this part of the world laugh about men being castrated or raped, then watch those same women donate money to campaigns against female circumcision. Ah, the lovely double standard. It's only gruesome if it happens to women.



But women often have a man to count on. Women don't earn as much, but they usually don't work the most awful and dangerous jobs, and there still seems to be a consensus of men paying for collective expenses in a relationship. Plus, I'm not sure in what part of Yemen's countryside you live, but not only do women have rights to most kinds of birth control, but they're funded by taxpayers. We have taxpayer-funded abortions, taxpayer-funded sex education, and taxpayer-funded birth control pills. Not condoms, though, because men (they earn more and pay more taxes) who refuse to buy condoms are deadbeats who deserve to die very painfully. Ah, the lovely double standard.

As for the original subject of this thread, I've really stopped caring about it. It's just not worth arguing about anymore. Nice guys are beta males with a bad tactic for reproduction, and women are generally inclined to prefer men who aren't in any way like these beta males. That's all there is to say from my perspective.

Hey.....we should stop using the term "nice guy". It's confusing people.

[edit] Also I'd rather be a male than a female in most Islamic countries.

The world is already flooded with feminism. If there is one issue that desperately needs more attention, focus, money and EQUALITY it is MEN'S RIGHTS. As feminsm has slowly but powerfully grown control over the last decade, men's rights have been slowly removed and villainized, everything from custody, to healthcare.

Like history has shown us all equal right movements start off with the best of intentions and eventually become overshadowed by acute minded individuals who see the answer to the oppression of some as oppressing others rather than removing the suffering of all individuals both sides. The human race has come so far on the surface, yet has changed so little on the inside. But that is for another discussion, friend.

I have seen the phenomenon of which you speak, and I disliked it intesnely when I was younger, I am not unaware of how it is being exploited today by those who seek to gain more privileges - rahter than seeking their rights be upheld and them upholding their responsibilities.
You won't ever hear me advocate for the rights/responsibilities coinflip-mesh thing of which you speak. They have two choices, either behave like a lady, in which case she will be treated like one, or take care of herself.

Does the group rules being evident make them right? The only thing necessary for someone to commit an atrocity is for those who are there to be silent and do nothing - they have just assisted the perpetrator through their silence and their lack of actions.
