I've been told I'm attractive but...

Sorry we're not all born muscular mesomorphs... We can keep the worst of the excess fat or skinniness away, but it takes a LOT more effort than what mesomorphs need to put in for their physique.
I wasn't in great shape before I started working out and I'm now 210 lbs at 6'2 with a very low body fat and I have to eat many calories. My goal is to reach 250 and keep a low body fat at the same time, I also have to take several antibiotics for my stomach daily.
I drink two protein shakes a day, eight egg whites, four pieces of chicken, three pieces of fish, tons of organic potatoes, tons of pasta, rice and tuna. I rarely consume butter, sugar, alcohol, caffeine or any type of additive that may be detrimental and that is called real discipline.
If a fat person worked out intensely for 80 minutes a day following a strict diet, they will see amazing results, just do a google image search for P90X and you will see what I mean.

the program works for fatloss great. but thats about it.
Yes and that completely proves my point that diet and exercise are the two main factors when it comes to weight loss, nutrition and exercise are the key factors.

it doesnt "prove" it. But its a part of it. Though your diet would make most people incredibly fat.

Those foods aren't rich in saturated fat but rich in calories, carbohydrates, vitamins and protein. The protein shakes are comprised of poly unsaturated fats and thousands of amino acids.
You can't simply look at someone like Sylvester Stallone and say it's a case of genetics or steroids because he has still worked extremely hard and a lot harder than the average person to get that body.
I have the experience of going through it, countless hours of pain, hard work and experience through experimenting with illegal and legal enhancement drugs and supplements but I can now say that I am completely natural and to me, that counts more than any book or scientist.

Yes, genetics and roids were how he went from regular big guy to huge. No matter how hard one goes, everyone reaches a plateau. Even arnie and stallone have talked about reaching that. Theres only so much one can grow naturally
Umm no. Once you go down the roid use you never go back to natural. Even if you stop using.

Nope.
I worked out three + hours a day for years eating a raw vegan and low-calorie diet and remained obese.
Pasta and rice?
ROFL!! !

Now can you still say that diet and exercise aren't the two main determining factors in weight and body fat?
Lots of people do stuff like that and don't see those results.
But then, lots of people don't work for P90X.

If they didn't achieve the results, they didn't do something right.
Anyone has the potential to change their life, get the body and their dreams and become P90X certified but what really matters is having the right knowledge. The job of a P90X trainer is to make sure that the person is using the right amount of intensity, repetition range and caloric intake. There are different things that work for different people but P90X is effective and has a very high success rate so I don't know where you are getting this information from that it doesn't.
Sometimes the P90X classic might be too much or too little for some people and you have knowledge on different body types and how they respond to different types of training but that doesn't mean that the program isn't effective.

There's only so many dozens of times that can be the case for an individual before you have to come to the conclusion that everyone is different.
Because I don't live inside a P90 sales pitch, I live in the real world where people are debilitated by chronic pain, have hypothyroidism whereby they maintain on a couple hundred calories a day, or adiposity disorders, and more, where people work two jobs to barely survive and have neither the time nor the money nor the energy to work much on thrashing themselves into shape lest some ignorant person conclude them lazy and stupid.
The arrogant presumption being that everyone is capable of doing it.
Since you work for the company, tell me: do they claim a 100% success rate even for adherents?

How could that be? If your calorie intake is lower than what you burn a day, you're bound to lose some weight, no?
I've lost 14 pounds from 126 to 112 once, just by limiting my daily calorie intake to 1500 cal, no exercise.
You're thin now. How did you lose weight? If you don't mind my asking.
I agree.
I am overweight.
My overweight is 100% caused by lack of exercise and bad diet.
Of course, there are factors that make it HARDER to maintain an exercise/eating habit that would make me lose weight, for example my current company, lifestyle, medication etc.
Every person who has lost weight has done it by the same method. More exercise, less food.
But - as mentioned several times, even by Wolfheart, if you're happy with your body, there is no reason for you to change it.
If YOU want to change it, you need to add exercise and remove food.

If you eat a raw vegan diet, then you'll most likely face protein defiency. 1500 calories worth of carbs is more fattening than 2000 calories worth of protein.
Unless you have a thyroid problem, what Wolfheart said works for everybody. I managed to go from 265 lbs to 160 lbs simply by going for walks and cutting alcohol and bread from my diet. I then bulked up to 200 lbs with no significant fat gains in less than a year, with 6 hours of exercise every week. With my current activity level, I can eat all the high protein food I want without getting fat.
While my peers can eat bread, drink alcohol and all that without getting fat, I can't. This never meant that I was doomed to being fat, but that I needed less food (and more specifically carbs) than most people. They may have their fast metabolisms, but instead of whining, I used my slow metabolism to build muscle more rapidly than most other people.
