And do you judge others by the size of who they're dating?

I just got out of a relationship and I've been hanging out with this awesome girl... and I had a friend tell me I could "do better" and so on, and it turned out she was talking about this girl's weight. I was really surprised, I guess the girl I'm seeing is big, or whatever, but I don't even see how that would have anything to do with whether or not I am into her.

I understand how looking at someone without knowing anything about them might make weight more important, but once you get to know someone, it seems like their weight has nothing to do with it.

Just curious, I guess.

Tarantella thinks that only men do this.

I think women are just as visual as men. I also think they make the very first moves, albeit subtley. They show interest, then the man asks them out...or something along the lines of.

I see big guys and big girls who find it easy to find relationships. There's someone for everyone, regarding weight.

As for me, I prefer slim/normal, but not skinny. A bit of weight is fine.

My mum is constantly saying "I would have been disappointed if you dated him" etc about various friends I've had. Luckily for her I don't bother dating anyone :P

Yah, I can think for myself. Who'd have thought?

I'm good with any shape/size so long as it doesn't interfere with their ability to get out and participate in normal activities such as walking or hiking. I.e., not so obese that they need a winch to get them out of bed, nor so cadaverously thin that I could snap them like a twig.

I'm large-ish for a woman - tall (for my generation), and literally big-boned (large and dense bones), although I do have about 10 lbs of extra padding that I could easily do without. While I don't care how tall a man is, I'd prefer him to be as strong or a bit stronger than me.

Physical strength in a man is important to me as well. I know it shouldn't be, but it is [probably a generational thing, hopefully most of the really young women aren't that way anymore]

It's a preference for me, but not a requirement. Mainly, since I'm a total klutz, I always feel like I might accidentally hurt someone smaller/weaker than me. :P

I would prefer, that they were that way. I get turned down in my area a lot, because of my muscularity. My ex even told me "I don't like muscular guys, but I made an exception for you."
