I'm not sure whether or not this was sarcastic. I hope so... If not, I've struck out with the world then. *sniffle, sniffle*

This is becoming the trippiest thread.

First, that many of us did not pick up on the irony- cruel OP, knowing that often AUT and ASP totally miss irony! Baha!

Second, noticing one hell of a specimen is not an NT way of looking at it. I have noticed that AUT men and women are TOTALLY different in this regard. Most, but not all, AUT men are so into looks and hot chicks that I feel sorry for them. I dated a brilliant AUT but damn, he was pained by any hot girl to the point of tears. It was just like seeing something so stunning that it brought him to tears. And it was the boring everyday "hot" that everyone thinks is hot.

I also appreciate stunning specimens, but not in the same way. He wanted to screw them so bad. He didn't because he was smart and knew that would entail cheating, possilbe disease, pregnancy, all the emotional effects of casual sex and he just didn't feel like going there. Disconnted sex was hard for him, like it can be for other ASP men that really do want to connect. Yeah, some just want to screw.

So I would look at a guy like M. Phelps and be like, "GOOD LORD that man is a specimen of hte gods!" and he would htink I wanted to have sex with him. Uh, not.

But smart trumps hot any day, and to his credit smart trumped hot. I am not hot! HAHAHA! I am not ugly, either. Always had that "Cute" thing going which is fine.

Well, I am sure that clarified nothing. But it was fun to talk about. :-D

We just want some validation :) Whats so wrong with that?

To think there would be a thread where women would actually post their pics to be judged with the hope of being chosen most attractive aspie female is hilarious. Guys however have a different set of societal rules to conform to, posting pics = no prob.

the real irony of the "Most attractive aspie male" thread are the guys who posted their pics only to later insult/put themselves down.

so long as their are attractive aspie males here, this threads not gonna die, you ladies should consider yourself lucky 8)

Aye that's true however unless compatibility is assured, and or there are ulterior motives nothing is for certain.

As far as dating someone goes, in a real life situation we would probably be too shy and bashful to make even a mediocre advance on one another.

It would be safe to say that the community here is NOT like other people, which is what makes us so much fun

But! I don't like the title of the thread. It should be "Aspie Guys" instead or something, because as it stands, it makes me feel increasingly uncomfortable having pictures here and might even delete my posts. I know there is a picture thread in the getting to know each other forum, but it feels even more public than this one.

The title is a parody of another thread that was made by a guy who wanted to know why aspie women weren't attractive. Ironically his thread made noteriety as the females wanted to make one of guys. The title isn't serious, it's a mockery to the other thread.

That guy has used reverse psychology and it worked well. Don't tell me that you still believe that he was serious?

Sadly but not surprisingly....I think so... :(

But at least it's now a bit laughable considering the irony.

He seems to get members attentions....that's for sure!

Well here is the link to the original post for those confused by the subliminal implication of this thread.

http://www.wrongplanet.net/postp1899353.html#1899353

I'm actually surprised a guy would post a pic without knowing what this thread was about.

I mean if it were me, I'd be pissed.

This thread has definitely showed my the differences between guys and ladies...And guys frankly don't give a damn!

Then again, in the female one, we already started off with some knit-pickers after about 2 posted picks by the females.

One thing I notice about guys is I don't think they're aware how rude or snarky they come off when they suggest how a lady could improve on her looks. I even saw one guy comment to one female member that she was too old for him or else he'd date her.

I don't know about you, but I'd be a bit offended. Not because of the honesty but for lack of insight as to how that might affect the member who put themselves in a vulnerable spot. Then again, I'm a sensative person....and I'm not ashamed to say it as opposed to other aspies and auties.

Could be women are more sensative to their own flaws as opposed to the other's. Not sure if this is based on biological factors or societal ones. For one, we are constantly bombarded by super models and hot chicks in ads, commercials, and even comedy as opposed to the few average or everday looking women I've seen in shows for instance, Rosanne. I find the proportion of these women seemingly higher than that of the zoolanders Guys seem to get away with a lot more stuff in the media being regardles of how fat or older they look...that's not to say there aren't any attractive men but damn, they get most of the good parts without having to try so hard Even in the news, I can't help but notice the differences in age among the cast.
<rant>

OK....ignore that poste above and enjoy your stay here. !

I think males are raised with character traits being valued most. Traits such as intelligence, athleticism, thoughtfulness, determination and independence amongst others. Females are raised with society viewing physical traits as being most important IMO. Women are pressured to measure up to societies version of the ideal woman and to most women that's something they feel they can never attain.

Well it's not exactly a joke, ImTheGuyThatDid that. The other thread was started by a shallow jerk but it got lots of attention and people started to ask where the male one was so this thread was created in response to that one. But I think it is a legitimate place for guys to post their pics and get complimented by the ladies. That's my goal in this thread, anyway :)

I know that Shiggly did not create this thread to make fun of anyone.
