Over two years ago now, I undertook my largest social gamble to date. It was to find a date for prom. Going into it I knew it would be a tough run, for I already knew at the time that my chances of a girl wanting to go with me were slim, and I would have to put up with a number of rejections in a row before potentially finding anyone that wanted to go with me. After four days and five girls, I had someone going to prom with me. Every rejection made me more depressed, but the final "yes" put me right up from 0 to 100. I had to go deeper into a depression in order to make great gains. That last part of Grade 12 was one of the greatest parts of my life to date.

For the first time since then, I am putting myself through a simlar grinder in the hopes that I can make some strides with someone. Like last time, I've got a nice list of girls, and I'm getting serious about meeting up with them so I can, based on my existing relationship with them, talk to them about my feelings for them. So far I've had one tell me that they have a boyfriend, but I've taken it well. I've got a whole host of others, and I'm sure someone in there will have interest.

A number of these girls work where I work. One has a boyfriend at the moment but the relationship is on the rocks and it's most likely coming to an end. Others are through Lavalife.
