I love the honesty...

I don't understand why there are so many horrible people in the world.

Why are people so judgemental of those that have differing views than them?

This is not something that I'd ever take part in, but these people have the right to do it. Especially because they're actually being completely open and honest with each other about it.

Kind of like enlisting the services a prostitute and keeping them for a few years.

The married ones are not being open and honest with their spouses.

Likely because it's free for women to sign up to the site while men have to pay over $40 per month.

Ah, that makes sense.

This is a bit sickening though. I do feel sorry for people who can't pay for college... it probably is kind of tempting to take it up if the other choice was getting screwed by the bank... :(

While I certainly empathize (yes I said empathize) with these girls/women who are trying to obtain an education so they are not trapped in a minimum wage job with which they are unable to support themselves, personally I have an issue with the concept that it should be considered acceptable in society for a woman to meet her financial needs through prostitution, which I define as payment in exchange for sex, even if it's not exclusively sex, in a non-committed relationship devoid of sincere emotional attachment.

If such things do become acceptable in the eyes of society, then sex for money shifts from something a woman who needs money should have a right to do, to something that a woman who needs money is expected to do. In the latter situation, I present you with the scenario that such a society would hold that a single mother with no other means of supporting herself or her children should go out and sleep with men for money, and should she not do this then she is irresponsible.

That is not a standard I wish to have in my society.

I see your point, and I agree that it is little more than prostitution. But I have some sympathy towards the ones trying to get through college (as opposed to the rich daddy's girls who want a new handbag). Who's to say they should have to miss out on education (many mentioned in the article already work 1+ jobs) because their only way to afford it is morally repugnant to some?

I'm sure they are probably the minority though, and I don't like the site at all, but I am more disgusted at the 'sugar daddies/mummies' that are willing to pay for it in the first place.

Me neither. But I think society should make it easier for people to get out of the poverty trap too though.

To be fair to the "judgemental" side, though, this perpetuates the idea of sex as transactional (guy does something, in return, the woman provides sex). A number of sociologists have said that this is one of the major causes of date rape.

Of course, our society is so inundated with that idea, it's hard to imagine that this (currently) has much effect. :/
