yes, we also must choose from available options. i definitely think that tastes truly change with availability and that it has nothing to do with settling.


i am skeptical of any article that makes blanket statements like this:

What, you mean that females are shallow too? I'm sure there are some who are, but I think it is generally accepted that they aren't as shallow as men.

Not true. The article I linked to suggests that men are, at their core, really very shallow creatures when it comes to selection. It also suggests that women should loose weight, but it still doesn't neccesarily make men look good.

the article is one man's opinion, based on no research at all. it provides an excuse for those men men who are already shallow to feel okay with judging women primarily on looks. men are not universally shallow like that, so the article is unfair to both men and women. we are not walking generalizations! lotsa guys find fat women hot, and a confident fat woman is much sought after - not just settled for.

i'd like to also add that... some of us women would really appreciate if the men who believe that crap would please PRETTY PLEASE keep on following those tips and principles. i makes it so much easier for us to spot (and avoid) you.

its a coincidence, I was thinking about something I hear while doing my counselling training about what people look for in relationships, I read about to in magazine today. There been research (I haven't looked it up detail tho will do soon) into what attractive in dating and there a link with physical & characteristical attraction of a partner to the same traits in both our own parents. Thats some food for though :?
