Been reading here lately, and a reoccurring topic that i picked up on was individuals claiming to know exactly what everyone of the other sex wanted. This instance being women wanting money/bad-boys etc.

Now i did read an article in a science magazine about this, and studies showed that women usually prefer ˝good guys˝, except a certain period during the month. :D
So thats a nice to know eh? Figure out her monthly cycle and get an unstable personality and you're well on your way.

But on a serious note, what do you guys and gals really look for in the opposite/same sex?

I haven't really loved anyone, or had a crush, but people that I've liked, that i enjoyed spending time with was people that deviated from the norm. Interpret it as arrogant as you wish, but i find so many people boring. Because there are so many people like them all around you, dress alike, walk alike, talk alike, act alike...
Example of Deviation:
There was this cashier at the grocery story i usually go to, who you could tell almost immediately was an odd one. Perhaps even an aspie. His quirks always made me smile, because i was glad there were people like that in the world giving it a bit of color.
One day he was staring intently on some boxes. I couldn't see what it was on them that had caught his attention, I just figured he was off in some other world like he usually seems to be. He handled my groceries and when there were no one left in the line he stormed out of the store, i got out right when he stood up from crouching, and said «there» to himself. Apparently it had been a bug of some sort, which he was intent on let loose into the wiiild. I was smiling then as they say «from ear to ear».

I'm also attracted to people (of either sex) who are somehow different from the norm....who have created their own worldview instead of adopting the worldview that popular culture tell them they're supposed to have. People who, for example:

Haven't lost simple curiosity about the world around them (will comment on or ask questions about things that other people seem to take for granted....will say "I wonder why/how/if");

Value honesty more than the social dance of politeness (i.e. people who don't assume that all you want to hear is a hollow lie designed to meet supposedly-universal social expectations.....so if asked for their opinion they'd actually share it or say "I don't know/I have no opinion" if that was the honest answer);

Have interests beyond popular culture (interests that are "unusual");

See people as individuals, without creating a conceptual system of little boxes to put people in (i.e. they don't tend to think of people as "weird vs. normal" "smart vs. stupid" etc.)

I don't think there is a parsimonious summary for what all, most, or even many people in one gender or demographic wants in a partner.

Personally, what I would want in a woman (not in any order):
Attractiveness (Well, what is attractive to me. I'm not expecting a model or a doll, but just someone who is pleasant to look at)
Uniqueness (Someone who isn't afraid to express themselves. Who is different from the crowd.)
Mature (Sophisticated, classy, intelligent)
Lively (With a sense of humor and a shining personality)
Independent (financially stable; does not have to have a high paying job or a college degree though)
Genuine (Honest, direct, caring, loyal)
Affectionate (with a lot of passion)

I'd imagine you have preferences for what a companion should be like, share the same humor, interests etc.

Would you prefer to be with someone who doesn't make you happy, just to be with someone then to be alone?

Not too familiar with zodiacs and such, had to look it up I'm a "Fire Hare"?

I dont do prostitutes, and am cautious under your microscope. You will move away from frivolity in love, in a few years time, after some disappointments.

I'm a skeptic, but i do like to understand rules and such of different things.

Was just wondering if the Booty call was the same as prostitutes.
I'm pretty sure i'm a libra, think i got a birthday card from my brother once with information about it.
