This is also sort of a question to ask on what would be the best way to let someone know that you are interested in a relationship with them.

I've only had two real life girlfreinds:the first one asked ME out and the other one I asked over text.

The rest, which were online,we asked over IM or the phone.

When I like someone, I tell them. I don't think it's the best way to do that way, and I think people should become friends with the person first before revealing the 'news'. But then again it can get people quite nervous.

in the case of my second girlfriend. we were friends for a while, and then we started dating.

it's all about communication. I actually admitted to her that I liked her a lot before we started dating. even when I found out she was 27...and I'm 19. ironically I didn't find out she was aspie till a few days later. which let me say that I was an aspie as well.

Yeah, you'd have more of a chance if you establish a solid friendship with them first, then gradually show your interest in pursuing a relationship (spending more time, talking more, the old 'smile and touch'). Communication *is* what it's all about.

I am curious, how did this all turn out for you guys?

we dated for a month, but she broke it off. mainly because she felt that it wasn't working, and she was getting stressed with classes. she's a freshman in college like me, but double majoring in music/drama. she's already gotten a degree in teaching, from another college. We're still good friends, and we're still close and hang out a lot. I'm not known for giving up. she knows that, we discussed it the night of the breakup (we broke up at breakfast) and we're gonna try and just be friends. which is working.

What he said. When/If I do have feelings for said person and I wanna let them know, I tell them. No fancy NT wordplay. Straight up and honest. If the feeling isn't mutual, then it's no loss on my part. Life goes on. :)

I botched up in my case. She got a boyfriend, I waited, I waited, a friend of hers told me she would tell girl I like I liked her, then I said so myself to beat her to the punch. Bad timing.

I whip my meat out, flail about on the table, kneel down, take a long drink. Then I ask 'fancy a portion'?

I tell them which is normally followed by never seeing them again.. Except one girl didnt leave, she stayed my friend until I couldnt take having a plutonic relationship anymore.. She's come back into my life, I dont know why, 3-4 years later.. I still think of her often but I dare not tell her..

I tell them... eventually. By which time they've already been pounced on by somebody else, or were already very aware of the fact that I was keen on them (while they themselves were conversely not very keen on me).

Either that, or I sit on the feelings until they go away. It might hurt, but it limits the inevitable pain of rejection...

when meeting someone I like (a guy) I will shake his hand with 2 hands (normal handhsake, but clasp your left hand over the back of their hand).

Meeting a girl you have the hots for, while shaking hands, stroke the inside of her wrist with your index finger. (warning - she may think you are creepy).

The last girl I was interested in I asked out on a lunch date.

She said she was busy.

So I kissed her.

We've been humping on and off since.
