I'm going to leicester to meet a girl I've known online for sometime, I have no idea wheer to go, what to do, what to say, anything! And I really don't wanna muck it up cos she's an absolute gem.

So, does anyone know anything fun in Leicester, or more importantly, some tips for dating? It's nopt something I'm that experienced with hehe

Pretty much suggest something that you should go out and do together... and see if an idea gets taken up:

Coffee shop
Park
Restuarant / Burger King (depending..)
Movies
Pool

I'd suggest you don't go meet a girl. Go meet a friend. Have some fun. You're really cute when you're having fun.

Your a male with Aspergers. The odds are you dress terribly, so get some advice from your sister, or a dressy friend. Perhaps you think clothes dont count for anything, but to many people they count as much as any other aspect of physical appearance.

Do try to act casual, like you go out on dates all the time. DON'T be desperate! Do impress your lady with a little knowledge of art, or architecture, or whatever. Do concentrate on good grooming. Do let her do most of the chatting.

I agree with the other suggestions of taking her some place fun and keeping it casual. Don't be desperate. If your original plans fail, have a backup plan. If you have a backup plan already in place it shows confidence which is a major place when it comes to the ladies. Also don't spend too much time focusing on concrete stuff like "where do you work?" "where do you live?" etc. Ask her how she feels about certain things, ask her what her likes and interests and then elaborate on those. Oh keep a rubber handly just in case things, you know, progress But please don't show her it or tell her about it til you know for sure you're going to bed with her!

Ask open ended questions! Don't ask, "did you like the movie?"(or whatever you did)-----all your giving her to respond with is "yes" or "no", then she has to make the effort of extrapolating on what she thought--and a lot of people have a hard time doing that, especially since you didn't ask them to extrapolate.

DO ask, "what did you think of the movie?"---she will then be forced to describe in some detail what she thought of it. She can't just say yes or no.

Ok, so pretend she just says, "I liked it" and stops. Fine. Now ask her "what did you like about it?"

The movie is one example, this can be applied to anything. Just remember to ask open ended questions. Begin them with such openers as "what do you think about....." or "what do you like/dislike about.....", "how does that make you feel?"--this one is important, becasue girls are all about feelings. Let me tell you, this simple trick is great. It lets the other person do all the talking and you have plenty of time to think of another question while they are doing it. It also lets them know you care about their opinion.

No pool. As nice as it is to see a girl in a bikini instantly, she won't much care for the idea. Wait for it so she won't get touchy.

Oh, when I saw "pool" I interpreted that to mean billiards, not a swimming pool.

Allso make here laugh If you can make your freinds laugh then you can make her laugh and your twice as likely to bed her.

It's the first date there will be no bedding! (or am I out of touch, is it now a race?)

Definitely keep your sense of humor handy. Women routinely rate a sense of humor very high as a quality they like in men. Remember: women like men who are taller than they are, smarter than they are, and make more money than they do. Good luck, lad, now go and make us male Aspies proud ! !!
