I've actually noticed that whenever I do talk to a girl... I look at their hands to see if they have a ring, (especially the one nearest the shortest finger for a marriage or engagement ring) which has come to my notice.
Anyone else check hands or did this before?

I've done this since I was a child. I think because I never understood how people got into romantic relationships, so the marital status was fascinating to me.

When I was married I wore a simple band. I didn't want or have an engagement ring.

P.S. I do this with men and women, regardless of whether they're dating potential for me. I'm just nosy.
