Yep, I did it, got a girlfriend, and to make it even better, she's the same one I always liked in highschool.
she used to live right in town, but had to move away after highshool, However, she came back to visit a couple months ago. anyway, she's planning to come back to visit agian, hopefully withen the next few months.

she had a boyfriend before me, but that guy left her crying for three days stright. now he's out of the picture.
we put our relashionship on facebook, although not many of my relitves have noticed it yet.
anyway, the only thing the bothers me, is that (even though we are both adults) she is afriad her father won't let us be together...
why? becuase he's over-controling of his full grown adult duaghter.
that and things didn't go so well for her with the last guy. (he abused her, but she never realized it.)
she also has a learning disability, I figured that out a long time ago. but, I've been hopeing she would finally realize that I'm the guy who actually cared about her since we first met. and I think she gets that now, becuase she seems to be happy with me.

I'm certain this will work out, asumeing her father doesn't try to seperate us. thats what I'm worrried about, but she's going to tell him in person as soon as she can.
anyway, I've been attracted to her ever since we met in highschool,
I've always thought she was really cute. we have alot in common. and we get along quite well.
I'm not sure what else I should say.

Start off on the right foot with her father. Might not be easy but will pay off a lot having her parents be cool with you.

Good luck to both of you!

And about an over-controlling father... not the first and won't be the last! Those are just one of the "in-laws" typologies.

Care about your relationship and be happy :o

It's nice to ask, or at least approach gradually to see if your partner is interested in what you want to do to them. (also some women have really sore boobs at some points in their cycle)
Communication is the solution to so many relationship issues. Seems like OP has some good communication channels with this girl which is excellent.

I wouldn't worry much about it especially if she is old enough already.

Now aren't you glad you didn't go off on that killing spree you were planning? Good stuff like this does still happen. ;)

Just don't let her dad see that angry side of you - it'd freak any parent out!

I'd still consider counseling or something to make sure it doesn't come back in an unhealthy way again... for her sake as well as yours!

Congrats!

Sounds like a good thing. Don't stress out too much about the dad issue, if she really wants to be with you she'll make it work. If you can, try to get in good with the folks, like Vomelche said. Show her dad you're not another jerk if you can.

Also, if you have anger problems, you might want to consider counseling for both your sake's.

yea, but I'll get to it in the next life.
Anyway, I am going to therapy once every other week, not sure how much it helps. but, things are good for now...
