So I was out in a bar/club with a mate of mine on Saturday sitting down having a few drinks at the end of the night. This girl goes past me to the dancefloor downstairs and ruffles my hair on the way past. I wasn’t 100% sure how to take it, so carried on drinking for a bit longer, finish our drinks before heading down to the dancefloor.

Before we finish our drinks the girl comes back, seemed a little bit disappointed I didn’t come down, but we chat briefly, introduce ourselves, I mumble a few things and have to repeat myself as normal, but she’s stroking my arm during the little chat and I say I’ll just finish up with my mate and then head downstairs. That seemed to blow it as she goes off an almost instantly starts to talk to some other guy and that seems to be the end of that. Not sure if it was just because I didn’t do the right thing or she changed her mind after talking to me.

There’s not really a point to this, I just needed to go over what happen. I think normal people are weird!

I think she thought you blew her off for your mate so went for another guy. It would have been better to say "okay" "yes" sure" "let's go" etc. then tell your friend afterwards or just go anyway as well, I'm sure he can handle himself. :)

She gave you two very strong hints and in her mind you should've picked up and followed them..

Don't worry, I doubt you missed anything other than sex. Maybe an STD. Those types of girls who come on strong like that are trouble..

Yeah I wasn't quite in the zone and was just wanting a drink. General cluelessness meant I differently misread the situation. Could have played it better, live and learn.

I've a worse horror story.

Was clubbing in Reading with a couple of Soliders I knew who just got back from their tour. Out of the blue a goodlooking woman came up to me flirted. . Then groped me with a wink.

I didn't react and she walked off in a huff.

Why didn't I react? I was trying to work out what the hell just happened. It's not every day your groped by a Looker.

---------------

Another way not to do it.

Go drinking in Dundee with a few Polish girls and drink a bottle of Whiskey before you even leave their flat, Need I say more about what or rather -didn't- happen that night?

--------------

My last one from the top of my head.

Work night out in Edinbrough, Mostly Eastern Europeans from work.

When a Scottish girl comes to to the group of Russians, walks up to the Irish person with the thick accent that stands out from the others and asks if your polish.

Don't lose the plot and rant about being Irish and sounding differentfrom the Ruskies, Don't start singing go on home british soliders go on home, And don't have to be bail'd out from a pub fight with the locals by the Russians. Don't do any of that and you might get laid.

Your mistake was using the word mate instead of friend; she probably thought you were there with your sex partner & looking for you & your partner to have a 3some with her
