CHALLENGE! Ask someone out today!

Women decide at the end... but men decide at the beginning. men get to choose what the starting pool is going to be like. it may consist of only one female, or it may have hundreds of females in it. but the size of the pool and the exclusivity of it seems to have no bearing whatsoever on some WP members' interpretation of "how hard it is for an aspie male".
Hey... I like this one. This one's got a lot of merit... and how many of these bitter "forever alone" guys are stuck in that boat because they're simply not willing to risk themselves by ASKING SOMEONE?
To those guys (and often myself!) I'll challenge them to change their mindset... if you think of asking a girl out as "no big deal", the positives far outweigh the negatives. You'll take the pressure off yourself, off of her, you'll seem like more fun which increases the chances of a yes, and if the answer is no it's not going to harm you!
So, I challenge you all, single men and women of WP (including myself!) The next time you have the opportunity, ask someone out for a casual "date" (call it coffee, pool, beer, whatever light & fun casual thing appeals to you both!) Go out of your comfort zone... TALK TO PEOPLE! If you're talking with someone nice/interesting and would like to go out with them, ASK!
Report your results! It could be a couple more days before I get out there to try my own advice (entertaining my cranky ol' mom to dinner at home hardly presents much opportunity, nor would it be wise to flirt much at my next job interview!)

I don't want to knock that if it's a significant step up. If you're used to asking people out for "just a fun coffee" etc, then maybe challenge yourself to step it up a notch. If you're romantically interested, ask for a DATE!

Oh, I can ask girls out. That no problem. But you have to remember not every ''forgive alone'' guys are shy and never talk to women.
Many men who can't get date can talk to woman (me) but they get put into the friendzone, are called ''creepy'' or has such poor social skills that no woman wants to date them. Asking a woman out does give men a better chances but it's doesn't mean they will be succesfull.

True this. It's not like I never talk to women, they're just not interested. Or are a little interested and have boyfriends.

good to see im not alone in this thought. These threads work great in places like PUA forums where the issues the guys have are with going out and getting any girl, not where its issues with what they want and how they get it. It works only for lazyness, not so much for real issues. Usually this is done as i said on PUA sites to get guys to stop mystifying women and to get them to just talk to them and not care the outcome. They have other challenges like going up to 25 girls and straight out asking "wanna f**k?" as a way to get over rejection. But in the end usually someone that trully needs to get over something wont get over it due to some internet challenge, that requires real work that cant be bullshitted. Hell, even for shyness it wont work.

Well, those same guys are already starting to chime in with a deep, defeatist sigh, "Ohhhh it'll never work" etc. I just wanted to challenge the guys to overcome their fears and actually try to do something in life. If you want to date someone - ASK THEM! Is that so wrong? So hard?
Just be sure not to bug her if she's not interested or wearing earphones, right?
