how do i approach this girl

There is a girl that I work that I really, really like. She's seems very shy and quiet. She's a loner and really doesn't talk to a lot of other coworkers. I talk to her whenever I get the chance. I really want to get to know her better and ask her out, but I don't know if she'll like me. How can I go about asking out a girl with a shy personality and letting her know I like her without scaring her away?

Have you any idea if you share a leasure interest ? If you do why not invite her to go and watch a movie, go ten pin bowling or something else which interests the two of you.

For goodness sake do not try to "chat her up", talk to her about almost anything except "sex and romance", for goodness sake talking to her about the weather would be better than talking to her about how you want to have your wicked way with her pretty body (sex).

Stay away from contraversal subjects, about 20 years ago Clarence Thomas's appointment to the superame court would have been a perfect example of a bad topic to talk about during a date. I have no idea what is the current contraversal topic in US society. Also do not mention how down you feel about anything, depression and sadness is a major turnoff.

Also pay attention to anything she says, from what I have heard women hate it when they are with some man who talks as if it was an olympic sport and never lets them get a word in edgeways.

Also act like a gentleman, treat her with respect. Also during a date control yourself, do not go drinking loads of booze, feeding your face with food or acting like a pig. If both of you smoke then if she needs to light up then proivide her with a light before you light yours.

If you do think you might kiss her then make sure you do not eat garlic unless she is also eating it. Also take a shower and wash your heair before you go to see her. Also put on clean clothing and wash your car if she will see your car.

Wood pecker gave some good advice. But you could probably fill up a whole book with advice like that because there are many more things that you can do wrong than right.

I would just try to stay calm and accept that rejections happen.
