You're cute! You look a lot like Rupert Grint xD Maybe people dont understand you. I know what it's like to be shy (I also have social anxiety) and it really does make it seem like others dont like you. It's definitely not your looks though

Not bad but unconfident looking. That matters more than looks. Even my namesake got girls because he was confident, in spite of his horrible flaws.

Agreed, it's all about the confidence. I've known some guys who were arguably downright atrocious to look at, find dates and have successful relationships with women I thought were beautiful...and I think it's because they were confident. One thing that's really helped with my confidence, was getting into weight lifting. After a few months of lifting weights, with huge changes already apparent, I felt better about myself than I had for years. Unfortunately, a year later and still lifting, I've taken it a bit too far and obsess to the point where I have no confidence if I'm not gaining muscle mass at some perceived rate :/ Just don't take it too seriously, haha.

The thumbs up pose looks unsure/awkward. I recognize it because I have had (probably still have) similar habits.

I'm odd, I started lifting just for strength gains alone, now I'm realizing "Oh wow, that does look sorta neat in the mirror." However for me I'm weird, as I was fat as a kid, so I don't like being "big" no matter what the "big"-ness is composed of, but I like being strong, so I still lift, but I'm like "man I'm big now, that's weird." I apparently gained 10lbs lean mass in a year of lifting, while not lifting for like...half of it for the most part. Still, I'm 5'9 and always wished I could be like 130lbs, basically an ectomorph. I have to come to terms with my mesomorph/endomorphness, though. Currently sitting at 190 at 17% bodyfat, the most that'd be realistic for me to get down to is 170. Before lifting I was same bodyfat (or maybe more?) at 180lbs, after just cardio (from 215 or 210.) So I guess no matter how you cut it, 130 would be concentration camp weight for me, but still, body image, yay. If I get hyooooooge, I wanna look like Dimitry Klokov, and if I get smaller, I wanna look like Lu Xiaojun.

It's winter, you know, could attempt some dreamer bulking and cut in spring? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Byfc6SBqM-w

I'm a woman and I think you look a bit above average, so I see no problem there.
I don't know why some guys say that confidence matters so much more than looks... (Though maybe I'm the one who has it wrong :P ) I think that's to give hope to the unattractive guys out there. It 'can' make you seem more attractive, to some women, but if you're not a woman's type, you're not her type. I think that if you're really outgoing, stylish, and have the right things to say to go along with your confidence, that's when confidence seems to overtake looks.
Anyhow, I don't see a lack of confidence in your photo. I think you look fine. Maybe you just need to work on how you approach and talk to people or something...

You look very nice. You remind me of several members of my family too. My primary school boyfiend had hair the same colour as yours and that's what drew me to him - very striking!
