Do you think that having someone that is planning on hooking you up with a good person is a good idea? I'll try not to go too much into detail, but a good friend of mine is talking about trying to hook me up with his niece (who is about a year or two younger than me).

Your thoughts?

Might as well go for it. The worst that can happen is nothing, after all.

That is how my parents meet,in a blind date and married a few years later. So I have no issues with matchmaking and might be a great option for some of us on the spectrum.

Depends on whether the matchmaker actually matches you well, or just wants to make one of you feel better by matching them with someone wildly out of their league.

Stupid people are everywhere. Few people make good matchmakers.

Main concern would be matchmaker´s intentions.
If he knows you somewhat well and you can trust him I dont see why not go for it.

He is setting you up with his niece so he probably thinks quite highly of you or he doesnt like his niece that much.

I think the first is likelier
