I just posted in another thread joking about saving up for a ring, but that made me curious. When my ex proposed, I tried to get him a ring too (fair's fair) but he refused to wear it, saying he'd only wear the wedding band.
I see two points:
1. It's an act of love. If he can show his love with a ring, why can't I? I felt rather rebuffed when my offer to buy a ring was effectively quashed.
2. If I have to wear a sign that says "ALL MALES CAN RACK OFF, I'M TAKEN" then surely he should have to wear a "ALL FEMALES CAN RACK OFF, I'M TAKEN!".
Would you wear an engagement ring if your woman bought you one?
is it a property marker or is it an act of love? your two points contradict eachother.
You don't have to wear one if you are a woman. I was married and never even got a ring because I don't wear jewelry so there was no point. I'd have liked a ring tbh, but between a ring and a house I chose house..you gotta be realistic
