I might as well there's the whole feminism thingy I don't really take seriously or any other group on that matter I just do my own thing and act immature and joke a lot I am sure there are others out there like that too. Perhaps some people get easily offended over every single little thing to the point they have to be politically correct to the point they cant have fun or be happy anymore I tried that it doesn't work well. I suppose people think immature people like myself are bad and such even though we do good things and have good hearts at times its just we don't always want to let politics and political correctness run our lives. So I was wondering if people would marry people who are always hyper and goofy?

I would for sure. All of this pc nonsense is getting to the point where you can't even have an opinion without someone crying about it.

I am a goofy fun loving person who is invisible. I am just a little fish in the pond

Ditto not everyone gets my humor either and gets all uptight about it and then later i have to feel bad just by being myself and getting hyper! Hopefully more like us are around!

I think I would be MORE likely to marry someone who doesn't take politics seriously. That way, since I would never talk about politics in that setting, there wouldn't even be a problem

I'm not getting married. But, any girlfriend of mine had better be able to cook a mean pan of mac n' cheese.

it is very carby in the worst way, the refined carbs will spike your insulin and over time will almost certainly [if eaten every day] contribute to systemic inflammation, vascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and even cancer. foods like it did exactly those things to various of my family members including myself. I'm just an old fart doing his best to warn younger folks to not go down the same road I did.

Politics of any kind is an extreme sore spot with me. I've been in and out of a depression, noth thanks to the electioneering that has been going on for the last 6 months, with PA's primary election coming up. This year is an election year for the governor, and the sh*t's so deep right now with rhetoric and lies that it's not funny.

I lost all taste for politics while working at the Pentagon, mostly because of all the sh*t I went through with my immediate supervisor at the time. I found out, way too late, she was humping her predecessor. I don't like getting involved in office politics to begin with, as I'm the one that usually ends up losing my job, as well as my self esteem when I participate in such activities. Besides, I don't like fighting, as I always end up losing.

I'm not interested in marrying adults who act all adultish. I'd be bored s**tless, and tbh they wouldn't want to date me anyway. I wouldn't marry emotionally immature prats either, but there is definitely a middle ground.

If you struggle to act mature, why do you jump in on threads which are trying - to various degrees of success - to reach some level of mature conversation? Wit is fine. Clumsy shoehorning of aggressive innuendo or the lamest 'women are like this, men are like this' BS, perhaps not.

Why do you get so offended over others getting offended at your 'jokes'?

Saying 'it's just a joke' is no defense. In what way is 'it's just a joke' a defense if it's also purposely insulting and derogatory? And, going by your reaction to certain adverts, how about having a little of the thick skin you demand of others?

You know, this doesn't answer the original question.

''Yes''. Sure, why not. As if I'd say to some dude I really love enough to marry him ''naaaah sorry love... but you don't take politics serious enough. I want these passionate rants about why <politician X> is a complete evil sucker!''

Not highly realistic in my case.

It does, but not directly, the answer is: Yes, I would. I don't find serious people very enjoyable to be around.
