I've tried asking women out and haven't been successful at it, and the more I do I get to wondering on what woman would have me based on the following;

I can't drive, I've never had lessons

I live with my parents

I am on a disability pension due to having no skills to get into college or a job

I am a largely liberal person with atheist leanings

I am a pretty big nerd for movies, tv, books, videogames

I'm pretty creative and have good art skills and not too bad at writing

I am growing an appreciation for horror movies

I'm cheerful and quiet but I don't hide my emotions too well and will be willing to talk about them.

I love my pet dog and she taught me a lot about responsibility

I have a great love of science and educational programs

I guess I worry about the future because I have no real options for dating in my town. I'm not too too bad at socialising but being out of school for four years doesn't help me too much. I have a lingering fear that me and my possible girlfriend will turn out like my parents and I don't want that to happen. I get lonely sometimes and jealous of how my sister met someone that loves her. I don't want to end up alone and just need someone to love.

Do you think it would be a good idea to try to find some women with aspergers? It might work out as a Mozart and the Whale type of relationship. Maybe it would be the best for me.

What do you guys think?

I don't feel qualified to answer your question, but I really wish you lived near me. I'd teach you how to drive. I've had the opportunity to do it before, and one kid I taught was really nervous. Oh well, if you ever find yourself in Colorado, look me up.

Good luck trying to find a woman with Asperger's if you live in a small town/rural area. I never have, and I'm starting to think that might be the only type I would ever have a lasting relationship with. My relationships with NT's have always eventually crashed and burned. If you do find one, I'd say you should definitely give it a shot.

From my perspective, you sound like a dream.

Unfortunately, I'm asexual/aromantic, but I think any woman would be lucky to have you.

Good luck (and hooray for horror movies!!).

Why thank you, I think you would be interesting to get to know as well.

I do also have some asexual/aromantic traits also, but it can come and go at times. I don't find tv shows and such to be too arousing due to how staged, repeated for takes, written how produced it is.

Yeah I got sick and tired of being too scared of horror movies so I had to buckle down and embrace the fear. I watched Trick R Treat a couple of weeks ago and I loved it.

I cant derive a connection based on some traits.
A connection goes further than common interests for me.

I hope you find a nice girl with as.

Rural areas are not the best to find mates,I've been asked out by local men but have nothing in common with them. Its like a geek desert here. And I hate commercial country music and that what most listen to hear, blah.
Wishing you the best of luck.

Rural equals farmland, forests, fields, few people, lots of nature.

Urban equals cities, buildings, noise, teeming with people.

Very rural here, when the leaves are on I can't see any lights at all.The night sky look like it did before a white man ever set foot here. But when the leaves drop there are two houses way off on the mountain ridge that have a couple night lights,I hate those things. Its stupid to have them,it just lights up the yard for burglars. No stop light in the town,no jail either. :D But they did put new internet cable out my way, awesome. :D No MalWart either. We do have one fast food place,a Subway,I refuse to eat there.

Yeah, from the replies on here looking for love in rural areas isn't an easy thing to do. I don't know if I should do an online dating thing, not sure if it would be worth my time as my dad's friend met someone online and after they got married she became a lot more meaner in attitude (she wouldn't even let my dad's friend pick him for best man) and that lead to him and my dad drifting apart before he died of some sort of anyuerism in 2007.

^^Some here have had luck with OL dating, but they were retired folks, there are no good paying jobs around here for working age people, but it is cheap if you are retired and like to stay home a lot.
