Have you been told you were flirting when you weren't?

Seems to me that the other side of the coin from AS people not recognizing flirting, is AS people who inadvertently "flirt" when that wasn't their intent. It's actually one of the reasons I hesitate to reciprocate even if I DO recognize the flirting! I just can't risk a woman honestly feeling harassed when she didn't intend to flirt or in any way indicate interest...

There was one time that a conversation with an attractive woman at work turned in the direction of how attractive she is... I didn't know at the time that it constituted "flirting" even though I can see why now. I'm actually more comfortable with this type of flirting than with touch, because I'm still respecting her personal space - just telling her I'm attracted. ;) This could potentially lead to her being up-front about wanting more...

Have you been told you were "flirting" when that wasn't your intent? Did you ever feel like someone was harassing you and only later find out it's because you "flirted?"

I unintentionally sometimes sounded like I was flirting with teens online but I was just trying to joke & be playful.

I certainly have a problem with unintentional flirting, and it causes a lot of issues with my female friends. Sometimes one of them will try to kiss me or hold my hand because they think I've been flirting with them or leading them on. I'm currently having a problem with one of my friends trying to cheat on her boyfriend with me.

I don't know. Probably. I mean, some smooth Italian guy is trying to get something with me even though I haven't sent any conscious sign of interest. Ulgh, I am so not interested in him. He only wants me for my body.
