Capitalism doesn't work at all for me, as, besides necessities, things are really ephemeral... not that a relationship isn't potentially a volatile and short connection, but there's nothing out there, not all the counselling in the world could be equated to the consistent attention of someone long-term... it is, though, not even available for the richest... lust may be, but like subatomic particles crashing into each other, little is produced overall. Love is random and the most one can hope for is friends, but as long as one can't share a life, what's the point...

What kind of person are you, Mootoo? Are you generally nice? What are your interests?

The people who are your age and never had a gf usually have some sort of flaw which makes getting a relationship very hard for them. For instance, being overweight, being clearly autistic, no license, terrible around women, super ugly etc...

You rarely meet someone who is good looking especially women who have never been in a relationship. The ones you do, they're not in a relationship because they choose to not be in one.

Find what your flaw is and try to fix it. If you're overweight, lose weight. If you don't have a license, go get one. If you're ugly, perhaps put some more thought into your clothes selection, if your social skills are absolute s**t around women, look on the internet how to talk to women. If you're autistic, try to act less autistic.

Did you identify and fix your flaw? Has it resulted in your successfully finding a partner?

I'm always up for a good success story :D

What do you want me to tell him, oh don't worry you're going to find someone? No, this world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, not everybody is going to find someone. If you want a girlfriend, perhaps a pretty girlfriend is what you really want, then you have to put in some effort to make yourself more appealable to women.

If I come off as rude i'm sorry but i'm just trying to be helpful by being honest.

I'm guessing that identifying and fixing your flaw(s) has failed to result in your landing the pretty girlfriend/handsome boyfriend you desire.

Do you know anyone who identified/fixed their flaw and landed the much-desired partner as a result? I'm genuinely always up for a success story :D

Only NTs have told me not to act autistic.
Anyway, autism is an unfixable flaw.
Besides, you can learn how to talk to women, but only in a theoretic way. If you actually try to do it, you will be puzzled and overloaded with anxiety.

I don't see autism as a flaw or tragedy or something to be fixed. It's just part of me. I shudder at how awful it must be to feel that an immutable part of yourself is somehow wrong or needs to be excised.

To those who are trolling darkphantomx1

His advice in his post there is very practical and pragmatic, but it's no guarantee that fixing those flaws/shortcomings/issues would magically make a girlfriend falls from sky on his lap - so asking him if he got a gf thanks to fixing any of those as a proof of credibility of his words... is silly.

But keeping those flaws untreated would keep the likehood of failure higher; let's take for example the 'no license' flaw - a some percentage of women would never date a guy just because of this one shortcoming alone; by fixing this he might have a better chance with these same women ... et ainsi de suite.

It's really that simple, I am surprised by the hostility here toward his down-to-earth approach.

I managed to fix my love shyness, now I am a real charmer with young attractive Woman hanging on to my every word, so it,s true, such things can be fixed!

Only trouble is, it took such a long time to fix that I am now 56 and am far too old for any Woman I find attractive.

Now how can I fix that?

As mentioned by others, there are things which are simply unfixable.

I'm confused why capitalism would have anything to do with your women issues. I don't see how living in a socialist, or communist society would be any better, in fact you CAN buy mail ordered brides.
