I think (and I know I am not alone in this) that WP could use an area for ASpies (or HFA, so as not to exclude myself) to discuss the trials/tribulations of marriage. Any thoughts?

Right now we have a lot of different forums. I'm not sure that this is the best solution. I suspect that if we want to keep adding more, we are going to need to put them in some sort of hierarchy.

This discussion might be more appropriate under the WP.net forum.

I don't know how to move posts though, so I'll leave it to someone who does.

I think it is a wonderful idea. Maybe include those who live together as well because they experience the same issues.

I was thinking more along the lines of a thread in THIS forum rather than a new forum (which is why I posted it here). I'm not sure that we have enough members that are married or cohabiting that it would justify a new forum. Therefore, I started the thread here because I thought that the discussion was pertinent to this forum. I probably didn't explain that well enough to begin with, but I think that this thread is on-topic for this forum for those reasons.

I like the idea of a heirarchical structiure, btw. It might actually work better than having to go through the forum to find a married ASpie thread.

Just now I was looking for a place to post a marriage question. I am married and I have a sort of rant and questions to ask. I'm still not sure where to post it...so I'll keep looking and hope to stumble on the appropriate area.

I would suggest starting a thread with the word "marriage" in the subject in this forum or adding to this thread.

I heard that most marriages end in divorce.

Half and that's based on averages, so those who are married 2 and 3 times would move that average up.

I heard that the likelihood of divorce increases the more times you get married. That 50% statistic is only true for first marriages, but it goes up from there...

BTW, I worked with a guy who's been married like 9 times. It's pretty crazy.

Wow. My mum's been divorced once, and she's getting married again soon. :)

I don't feel like entering into any legally binding contracts with a subtle spiritual undertone any time soon. :P
