A negative comment towards me

When going to bars/nightclubs present and past some girls who are friendly and talk to me do make comments such as "I am the type of girl who will talk to anyone"


Is that a negative a comment towards me then?

I doubt it, there's some margin for interpretation but I think they were just compliments for your acting non-judgmentally, or just something from their repertoire to lighten the mood...

It depends on how she means it.

It could be like cberg pointed out ^^ or it could also mean "I am friendly to everyone, even to those I don't like at all" in which she could have secretly meant you in the worst case, like it'd be some pact she formed with her friends in order to show them how tough she is getting through situations she'd normally run away from and meeting people she'd normally would never want to meet.

"I'm nice to everyone" translates to "Don't take this the wrong way, this isn't a big deal and doesn't mean I like you."
