I am wondering if this is an trait other Aspergers people have. I guess it's a normal human thing to want a relationship to work out when you meet someone anyway. But the few times in my life I've felt love it was very fast. Like now I have met the person on Friday and by Sunday I was feeling jealous of her ex even though he was her ex. Like just because they are good friends. I was feeling that I want her to myself and what if the ex gets back with her? He knows her better so she will look at him before me. Again probably a nurotypical feeling to have.

Not that I want to be one of those guys who does not like male friends. No I understand that the good things I see in you others will see as well. It's not fair to expect you to cut those people out. But also I am a very monogamous person. I am sure I only want to be one with person and share a lot of my life with them.

I know it's not logical and I don't really know this person yet. But few couple hour conversations are enough to fascinate me. I am imagining in my head that she is my girlfriend. But I also know I will look crazy and scare her away if she knew this.

Dealing with this now actuly.

I met someone online to whom I took a romantic interest within two months. I've got to admit, you might actually be onto something.

I hear about this a lot, so I don't think it's an Asperger's thing. These days I think I fall in love too slowly, since I realized that relationships never really made me happy.

This is the story of my life. I fall fast, and I fall hard. :(

I'm so guilty of this! I fall for people way to quickly. This is what comes of being a romantic.

Yes, I fall in love with people too fast, and I fall deeply. I become way too interested in their lives and get jealous of their past/current lovers. This has gotten me into some emotional trouble, as the only people I've been meeting already have significant others, so I just end up feeling extra unwanted and alone when they leave.

I would consider this a bad trait to have if you look at it on the whole - but I consider myself genuine and sincere, so I don't wish to change anything about myself. I'm sure one day I'll be able to find someone that I can give all the love in the world to who deserves it.

I am the opposite - I fall in love slowly. There is a pattern - friendship (or at least common interest/opinion) first and after at least a half of year of spending time together I might start thinking of them this way.
And the longer we are friends before I fall in love the deeper I fall and the harder it is to let the feeling go.

I think it's just obsession. It's not love until there's at least some genuine selflessness involved.

Interesting. Something like this just happened to me this weekend. An AS guy and I had great conversation over several hours on Sunday. We had things in common and seemed to be on the same wavelength. He expressed how he loved things about me, talked about how hot I was, and even alluded to pursuing a relationship. We revealed things and were vulnerable. By the end of the night, I wasn't in love with him but I sure liked him and had affectionate feelings toward him. I hadn't heard from him on Monday so I sent him a text to ask if all was okay. He said yes but he was really busy. I didn't text him again and he didn't text me for the next three days. He now has zero chance of being with me. Ever. If you're interested in this girl, especially if she likes you, let her know and don't disappear. And don't believe it if someone says sometimes the girl should pursue the guy. I don't know any women who do that.

Best of luck.

I used to fall in love pretty fast and would become literally obsessed with my crush. The last girl I had a crush on back in the spring of 2015, she was a cute petite redhead and aww man, I fell hard for that girl from the very first time I laid my eyes on her. I was lovestruck pretty bad. Imagine writing down a list of your ideal girl looks wise, she fitted that description perfectly. I think that's why I instantly fell for her.

Now I don't really get crushes anymore. I think it's because as iv'e gotten older, I realize it doesn't really make sense to become too emotionally invested into someone when there's a 90% chance that you won't even stand a chance with them. Iv'e been disappointed and rejected too many times to realize that you don't want to become too emotionally invested into one person too early.

Of course that cute redhead girl who showed up in February of 2015 was the first girl I had a crush on for more than 4 years. So you never really know, I could fall for someone else.
