^ I agree. And it just depends on the people themselves. Some if not most start with talking about family, school, friends, work, hobbies and so forth as a way in getting to know each-other and then it builds off from there.

Life. Basically.
The same things you talk about with your friends.

I don’t have friends. Generally when I hange with people it’s via actives like playing games, we talk about the game we are playing and what we are doing in the game.

Women seem to get bored after the whole getting to know each other stuff and puts a lot of pressure on me to come up with topics.

I tried talking about the coast with her and she’s blocked me.
Meh

Not a lot of gamer girls who play the same games as me. She played final fantasy. I’ve never played it or interested in it. She didn’t like or play games I play. Dead end topic.

I’m feeling like there no women who I can talk to :( why can’t women come up with topics, it’s freaking stressful being the sole topic person.
Doesn’t help I have social issues I’m sure.

Is that why people drink so much because without being drunk they have nothing to talk about?

I’ve alwos noticed a lot of people’s conversations is rumors about other people. But me and women on dating sites have no common people to talk about.

All I can say is just keep looking... There are plenty of people out there who you'll run into and meet. Getting to connect with someone isn't easy, but keep trying.

They were not interested in you. If they were interested in you, they would come up with a topic.

Me & my girlfriend usually talk about what we're doing; the TV shows were watching, the songs on the radio we're listening to, the vid game we're playing or I'm watching her play for example. We also talk alot about how she's feeling like why she's feeling bad & how we both feel like we're not doing a good enough job taking care of the other.

On the one good relationship I had, we could talk on the phone for 5 hours per night for 3 nights in a row and not get bored. We were both fans of Star Trek. She had watched all the Star Trek series so I could make any joke or reference to Star Trek, no matter how small and be confident she would get it. Like me she was a retro gamer. She had an excellent collection of SNES and Megadrive games. Do you know how hard it is to find a girl who likes both Star Trek and retrogaming?

My current girlfriend is interested in makeup and other girly things. Boring. The old girlfriend was an expert at makeup and did a very good job of maintaining a feminine appearance, she just didn't talk about makeup. She talked about interesting things. We had the same sense of humour. We had the perfect comedic banter. It was like we'd known each other for years.

But really we only knew each other for a few months before I screwed it up with my stupidity and drove her away. Now she's with someone who deserves her. After that I dated a lot of different girls and felt no connection with any of them, including my current girlfriend. I'm mostly just with her for the sex. I try to talk to her and quickly run out of things to say. In conversation we bore each other. With my ex I could talk to her for 5 hours and still not want the conversation to end.

Lightning doesn't strike twice. I'll never find a girl like my ex again. Maybe there's one person for everyone, and I drove that person away, and now for the rest of my life I'm doomed to have a string of meaningless, impersonal relationships until I get sick of it and become a bitter old man.

Same things strangers or friends might talk about.. the weather, sports, common interests, each individual's interest, politics, news etc the only topics of discussion that would be unique to a relationship would be anything to do with emotions or intimacy between the people in the relationship, or about mutual friends/situations experienced together. Otherwise conversations are just fluid occurrences that just happen. They're not planned and scheduled or rigidly thought out in advance like some sort of board meeting where first we'll talk about this, then 5 mins later we'll talk about that etc.

I've heard women giving guys advice say that guys shouldn't talk about the weather with women unless she brings it up 1st.

I don't think there are any rules about it, really.

Thing is, it totally depends on context.. if someone appears completely desperate to come up with a conversation topic and randomly, nervously, chooses weather.. then it may not be well received. If it's a relevant thing, or talk of the town, well then w/e.. freely chat about it.

Here, we've had a lot of wild weather.. unseasonably warm weather due to the Pineapple Express. November broke some temperature records as well as rainfall records. Right now we have a couple week stretch of clear skies - also different and noteworthy.. so, it's not that weird for it to be brought up in conversation.

However, if there was nothing in particular about the weather that was worthy of discussion, I can see how talking about the weather seems like some desperate grasping at straws in terms of trying to come up with something to talk about for the sake of having a conversation at all. So, it depends.

In good relationships they talk about the things they enjoy.

In bad relationships they talk about other people's relationships.

Only have had that with few women from wrong planet. Women in my area make me start all conversations and it feels one sided.

That probably means they're not into you. If they liked you, they'd start conversations with you.

Maybe the difference is that you communicate better with others on the spectrum. If that's the case, maybe that's the community where you should focus your search for a date.
