I find curves and the females buttocks turns me on and I guess boobs are okay but I find vaginas unappealing.

Does that make me gay that I don't like vaginas?

It's more about enjoying penises. I don't know how much experience you have, but the real thing is quite different from pictures.

Being gay means not being interested in the opposite sex at all and being interested in your own sex instead. You don't have to like everything about a specific gender in order to be physically attracted to them.

That's a bit rigid. I can assure you that gay means something very different in LA than it meant in small town Texas.

I see sexual orientation as a continuum. In LA, gay seems to mean preferring to have sex with other men. To qualify as Texas gay, it would probably suffice to have sex with a man once.

If you are only sexually stimulated by the opposite gender, you are straight. Doesn't matter what bits of theirs you like, or what bits you don't like.

You could just be able to appreciate the beauty in both genders. If you want to do more than appreciate same sex features you may be bi. Sexual attraction isn't just gay or not gay, you have to unclude bisexuality as well which isn't as extreme in ideals. At the same time, there's no need to overthink it. You'll know when it comes time to pick a partner.

Those two definitions are not equally valid. The California one is closer to accurate--if you feel much stronger attractions for the same sex than the opposite one you're gay. The 'Texas' definition is ignorant and bigoted. Fortunately if you've ever been to Texas you'd know that in the major cities at least, people are quite tolerant.

As for the OP's issue: genitals are a small part of attraction. All the other stuff around them is where most of it comes from. You sound straight, and can learn to get over this complex.

Read my other posts. I grew up in Texas, and people are more tolerant in the big cities, and in public. Certain flagrantly gay men have always been an exception in Texas; I'm not sure why. The overall support for conversion therapy is high.
