....and I scared her.

She doesn't seem to be able to recognize when an animal means you harm or understand a goose attack isn't fun.

Apparently it was so unpleasant for her she had what she said felt like a mild panic attack.

All this because I made threatening gestures at a couple of foul fowls who were getting to close for safety.

should I be laughing or crying?

If they got any closer I was going to try rat tailing the closer of the two and if that didn't work I was going to knock one of them out.

And yes I know that sounds nuts but I didn't have any other tools and those things move fast when they want.

Maybe your reaction was too violent toward a weakling creature? Just saying....

If she's eyeing you up as if you are the enemy you should be crying (not visibly), and not trying to persuade her that you did the right thing.

Well maybe just try to explain you were trying to keep them from biting her?....But on the other hand if she doesn't believe that than maybe just let her learn for herself....I mean if the goose does go after her than she will know you were right. But I mean in my experience you don't have to make gestures at geese, just walk past them and if they try and bother you keep on your way....they may have chicks especially around this time of years so they can be more aggressive to defend their offspring if they think you're coming at them. Lol I was at the zoo and the staff a couple of times were telling people not to get too close to goose chicks because the mom might attack. Like geese are not a zoo exibit but part of where Canadian geese migrate is Colorado, so there were plenty of Canadian geese within the zoo.

I mean actually in my experience making gestures makes it worse...but maybe you never had a herd of geese chasing you.

@ehymw You posted some questions about your courtship with this girl from last Winter. So it seems you are now a couple. How did you go from the situation you were posting about to your current relationship?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I explained geese attacks aren't fun but she doesn't seem to understand that a/o that the geese were acting hostile towards us.

I may have to send her a vid of goose attacks.

As for how our relationship happened I somehow convinced her we could first meet in a public place she felt safe simply to see for ourselves the other existed.

It turned out we both existed and we celebrated by taking a walk across a field holding hands while we talked.

Our relationship has taken a VERY SLOW but natural course from there possibly because we can't find anyone else who can stand us.
