I don’t know about sexually attractive, but to me, it really depends on the person. I voted “normal,” but I do think some people look really good with some extra weight on them.

Normal to overweight because I have a thing for nerds. Health is a priority though so it’s maybe not the best.

I think the "problem" is, I may be the only male that has voted, so far.
Women are known to be more forgiving, in this context.
Let us give it some time. 8)

everything i've read about the subject says that our preferences are largely hard-wired into us. referring to straights, men tend to prefer healthily "fecund" while women tend to prefer virile.

Dear Aunt Blabs, by "fecund" do you mean curvy/slightly overweight, and by "virile" do you mean ideal BMI/"normal" weight?

I used to be morbidly obese, but after my former psychiatrist went out on a limb and determined that I was an Aspie misdiagnosed as bipolar [I never had any manic episodes, ever] by an overzealous pharmacologist, I was taken off of mood stabilizers and antidepressants [which had never helped with my depression anyhow, I'm far less depressed without them] and losing weight became an actual possibility. My blood sugar normalized, my appetite returned to what it was when I was a kid, my energy improved, and I worked hard to lose [at one point] 100 lbs. I am back up between 20-30 lbs from my lowest, but still "average" weight, maybe a bit overweight technically. I used to say when I was obese that one day I would lose weight and women would suddenly want me more often [I was not popular romantically when I was obese]. That prediction came totally and completely true, but after several more relationships before I turned 30, I realized that none of it was for me. Not trying to sound like a jerk, but now it's hard for me to make or keep female friends around my age, because they always want more than friendship, and by this point in my life, I'm just done with all of the double-standards, hypocrisy, and pressure of dating.... Just not my cup of tea. #asexual

fecund translates as having hips and bosom and abundant derriere. virile translates as having masculine square features, strong jaw and forehead, V-shaped physique, narrow hips, relatively tall and muscular.
