That was wonderful. My AS BF and I came to the same conclusion they did: Separate bedrooms are necessary. We haven't yet moved in together, but we know that when we do, we will need that absolutely.

They can both put their twin beds together in the same room. They would still be together but have their own mattress that is comfortable for them.

The separate bedrooms is so that each partner can have their personal space when they need it, without the other one around. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you want to be around them 24/7...

Unless you were kidding by that statement, that is...

Couldn't agree more! :wtg:

I wish "NTs" or people would stop with the mentality that there's something wrong with their partner if they want to be alone or want a place....just a place of their own like a room. Sometimes we need an outlet or place of our own without feeling shamed into thinking that we're "unloving" or "uncaring".

No better way than to find a place to cool down when it becomes overwhelming or too much to handle all at once.

own bed and bedroom is a must.
my room looks like a kid's room or a nun's sleeping quarters with a single bed and everything white or wood.

The fact that autistic people finding love is news worthy at all should tell us something...

Two Aspies meeting in their teens and marrying doesn’t always mean they were meant to be(having done just that) ... but I agree with the sentiment.

Preferably same room for me, but having a spare room if needed.

Even worse, the last time someone could report it happening was over a decade ago.
