Why are SO MANY PEOPLE having three kids?

Is it based on the number of siblings they had growing up?

My friend Jealene has 3 boys and David wants me to give him three as well!! !

What could be driving this trend?

Three kids seems to be the magic number for cartoons on Fox like Family Guy, Simpsons, Bob's Burgers

No one wants a bunch, but they think they want a few.

Some people revise once they have one or two, and realize more isn't feasible.

I don't know. Why are people having kids at all these days when the world is a complete mess with no future?

Not everyone perceives things that way, although a lot of people are anti-natalist for that reason.

I like 3 children. I'm one of 3, and so is my partner, and he has 3 too.

2 children is okay too, but I find families with an older boy and a younger girl so standard. I wish the Simpsons kids started off with Lisa and then Bart, but it seems it had to be the standard ''oldest child the obnoxious boy, second child a good girl'', and in some newer episodes the writers seem to forget that Maggie exists, so it just seems like the standard boring family of 4 with an older boy and a younger girl.
