I'm feeling horrible, my crush, the one I've had for around a year now, is flirting with one of my friends (not a close friend, but that's not the point). Needless to say, the male species is not on my happy list right now. (At least I've stopped crying, after several hours)
Can I get some virtual hugs please, I need them. Save any critiquing advice for a later time please, I'm not stable enough yet to handle it.

It feels worse when they go for one of your friends doesn't it. Why? Because it brings home the reality that you wasted a year's worth of mental and emotional energy on someone who wasn't right for you. I know i sound like a bastard, and I'm sorry, but I know that personally one of the most comforting feelings is the ability to distinguish what is and isn't good for me.

I'm so sowwie =(. I know how you feel. My ex BF didn't flirt wif other girls but he'd lead me on a lot and then say "I don't like you" and do it over agian. I felt so stupid.

Ugg...I can kind of relate....my friend recently started this pissing contest with me over one of my female friends that I am sorta starting to really like...he comes off as super aggressive at me around her, I just make him look like an ass though which is hard because hes my friend. She obviously likes me (I over heard this) and its really hard I dont want to kill relations with my other friend...worst thing is (man I hate this part) I got a little jealous (I did not show it though I keep this s**t in my head). So I can sorta relate, sorry for venting in your thread....

My sympathies. :cry:

That's what sucks about crushes -- there's no logic to them. Even when you know someone is wrong for you or not intersted (or both), it's like something in us cries out for that person. Hard to get over, especially for long-term crushes.

The only solution -- find a new crush
