I was riding around the reservation with some indians and we stopped to visit a guy who was somebody's uncle. He was sitting in a chair when we came in. He looked at me as I walked through the door and he shouted, "NO HONKIES."

One of the guys I was with said, "Nah, he's okay," and the conversation went on to other topics. Somebody started talking about traditional native religion.

The guy who didn't like honkies wasn't impressed. He pointed to a picture of Jesus on the wall and said, "He does just fine for me."

A lot of people have weird ideas. I didn't design this world. I was just born here.

I know what you mean. Even white people hate other white people. Just try to be a hippie and whites shun you because you 'turned against your kind' and if you stand up for yourself cause you are tired of being shafted and happen to be a woman, you get blasted with crap from every guy that ever had anything bad happened to him by a woman. I think it is the stereotyping and the generalization.

by the way, Obama is hosting Passover Seder at the white house tomorrow. They did it on the campaign trail last year and after saying "next year in Israel" they said "and the White House"!

I think it has something to do with the old ways and people's upbringing. We're not that far away in time from the segregation era and it will take some time to die out. I think racism probably will die out eventually but I'm certain no one living today will see that day. In fact, it may take a hundred years or more.

Seems like the same thing goes on even when race isn't involved. Thinking about the history of Europe, so many white people hating each other because they're a different ethnic group, and it's happened so many times in so many places. Not just old history either. The wars in what used to be Yugoslavia were about as bad as wars have ever been.

I don't think the white people would have been able to conquer North America if it hadn't been for the fact that the people of so many native American nations hated each other so much.

Same thing goes on in Africa and Asia. People of the same race hating each other because they're from a different group.

use your it as an advantage. trust me. chicks love black guys. i'm serious. you just gotta use it to your advantage. you can be MLK, Malcolm X, or 50 Cent, whatever you chose - but chicks love that. i dunno what it is. but they do.

no, women at work flirt with black janitors as well as black managers. it is a biological thing, i figure.

stereotyping: sorry I can't help you . In general I feel I am a very tolerant individual (unless a person does something to set me off of course).

p.s. How can you tell someone that they yell to much w/o sounding racist (the three people I'm thinking of are 1 white & 2 black (one claims to be Jamaican))? I do not know what to do when someone says their volume, etc. is part of their culture. (I'd be OK w/ it but their voices give me a strange & painful ringing sensation) Not Trying to be racist, but confused how to approach these issues myself (I'm a white autistic female, I don't know if this is relevant so I added it anyway). If I offend anyone, sorry .

I will not go scientific on this one but this appears to be more of a American thing then a UK thing.

If I expressed my views about racism I would probably get an immense about of flak for the extreme amount of misanthropy evident in the opinion.

But to provide a possible explanation for some questions.
