I got banned from here for a while, never did get the specific reason. Vague rules were the real culprit, no one can really agree what "offensive content" and similar terms actually mean. The mods have gotten much better at talking to people before resorting to the banhammer since those days, the newer ones seem to have learned from the mistakes of their predecessors.

My YouTube account was banned (no warning, just a straight-up ban) because I used clips from The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy which apparently aren't allowed. I was also banned from the online game Runescape for a few days because one of my friends reported me for hacking someone's account! 8O

We sorted things out a few days later though.

Someone apparently thought I was seriously suggesting cannibalism, so they reported me. I was "permanently suspended" IE smacked with the banhammer.

Wow, I don't even know that was possible. I've been reported literally several dozen times. They don't always get my humor lol. I've never been banned I guess because I post a lot of good answers too.

No, but then I've been online so long by now I can usually figure out if I wish to spend any time there or not.

Mods can have any rules they like -- they own the place.

And I have whatever rules I like. If it isn't a fit, I don't waste my time. The Internet is a big place.

I think I came pretty close to getting banned somewhere when a new owner turned up and was going a bit nuts. But I left before that happened, not because I feared being banned, but I'm just not into spending my time putting up with verbal abuse.

I was banned from Yahoo Answers for trolling in early 2010. It only took me a half hour to get banned after I had registered there and posted two offensive questions on AS my aspie friend created. I was smart to use a different account when I did it. What I don't ever understand is why people bothering responding to trolls being all pissed off when they full well know it's a troll. I just think they want to be pissed off and choose to be pissed and provoked. When I see offensive questions being posted, I don't even care and I have no reaction and feel nothing. I know it's probably a troll so why feed it? Then I find it amusing when I see angry responses so I read them for entertainment. People are weird creatures.

I've had my account on Youtube closed three times.
I'm a Nationalist and very proud of it.
I got into arguments with scrounging parasite immigrants and various traitor left wing nut jobs.

Almost everyone there was supporting a war that started, I wrote a post about it being illogical for Christians to support the war, and posted images of civilians killed in said pet war. I had to be silenced

Cheers, Fred. Nothing Christian about the Zionist act of war to make money. Good for you! And if that get's me banned, at least I was on topic!

Well, many years ago, I got banned from some small forum I was a member of, I can't even remember why, and I don't think I ever actually found the reason.
But that was just derpy kid-me at a tiny forum ran by other derpy kids(at that time, it was a fad for everyone to make their own little forum and get people to join and post. Just as you might suspect, most of these just died out after a month or two after they lost interest.)

And while not a ban, I got two of my videos on Youtube taken down a year or so ago. Because copyright.

I was banned from one forum about photography. I did some sarcastic remark about guy which was flaming there (typical know-it-all) and I didn't notice that that guy was admin of this site

I was banned from a wiki once, but the reason was more related to my OCD than to anything else. In retrospect, it was probably a good thing. I was having a tough year, and feeling like I had to constantly remove stuff from there that I had added in the past really wasn't helping matters.
