I was 18 and initially moved out for university. I lived in a dorm for two years, but went back to my parent's house during the summer. When I got sick of residence, I decided to share a basement apartment with a friend, who has since graduated and moved out. This led to my decision to permanently move out into this apartment, as most of my friends live near the university, and I didn't want to be antisocial like the last two summers.
I've spent my first summer on my own here and have loved the independence. whoo hoo!

Given a “tentative” diagnosis as a child as I needed services at school for what was later correctly discovered to be a major anxiety disorder.
This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.
My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.
