After being publicly humiliated by my teachers as a "joke" in front of my 6th grade class, I was a ghost all through high school.

I got picked on but most of the time I just sat there quietly and I knew some teachers felt bad/said something to others and I hated that feeling of being pitied.

Yes I had my few friends that were all an afterthought. I'm sure if I wasn't there or something happened, no one but my friends would of even noticed/cared.

Not in our class but in grades ahead and below, popular students have passed away and the whole school was having waterworks. The politics in our school did that as well as there were only a few "real" teachers/guidance conuselors.

This popular kid (who's actually nice) got leukemia in 9th grade and they had an assembly for him...an assembly. I can't imagine if it was me or another one of the 'outsiders' if that would of happened

I got smashed up by a car going to school and had to spend a good while at home recuperating. Later a kid in my form class told me that at the time the teacher had suggested people go and see me or send a message or something and they said 'we don't really know him', which was true. I wasn't missed, it didn't bother me though.

For the most part I was ignored throughout school period.I never was..nor wanted to be the constant center of attention. If I had been I doubt Icould have dealt with it 20 minutes before I had a total sensory overload, and started feeling tired and worn out.

Had a few good friends that I loved to talk to anyway. And most of them are my friends on Facebook despite the fact I graduated 8yrs ago :)

People started ignoring me when I was about 10-11 years old and have been doing it ever since. The few "friends" I had in high school didn't really feel like friends because they would constantly exclude me from their activities. I doubt anyone would have cared or noticed if one day I just wasn't there anymore.

I tried my very best to fly under the radar and be the ghost, trust me its alot better then catching s**t for being weird. for various reasons i could never go completely unnoticed though. either way high school was a terrible experience no matter how you slice it and i really don't care to examine it any deeper then that. it sucked.

I guess in the 9th and especially 10th grade I really looked for attention. I wore weird clothes, a black tutu and rainbow stockings. People forever knew me as the tutu girl. After I got on prozac in the summer before 10th grade, I started being hypomanic and acting out at school. After 10th grade, I got picked on a lot so I took the blue out of my hair (recently put it back in : D) and started wearing black hoodies and jeans everyday. I still got made fun of almost everyday but it wasn't enough to tell the teacher. It was a shove in the hallway one day, name-calling while the teacher was out of the classroom. I spent the last 2 years of high-school alone in the library though.

High school is weird. For the last year or so I've been with the "stoner" click in order to at least have SOMETHING to do in my boring ass town... I do feel like a ghost a lot, which can bother me every now and then, but recently I've just stopped giving a f**k. Lifting and exercising in general along with not letting a bunch of tools get to my head helps a lot.

I was such a ghost that at the end of highschool, someone I'd sat next to for all four years didn't know who I was. I always thought it was a blessing. I didn't have any interest in spending time with people, except for a few hours some fridays playing MTG with my two guy friends.
