it has been my experience that most aspies are ANYTHING BUT sassy.

^ I think I've chosen the wrong word. I don't know the exactly meaning of "sassy".
I wanted to say something similar to "more male-ish".

sas·sy 1 (s s) adj. sas·si·er, sas·si·est. 1. Rude and boldly disrespectful; impudent. 2. Lively and spirited; jaunty. 3. Stylish; chic: a sassy little hat.
Synonyms- arch, audacious, bold, bold-faced, brash, brassbound, brassy, brazen

I don't know what the proper word would be for "male-ish" - there are many male aspies that are effeminate, such as myself.

Boys are sassy enough for me, so I don't think I can be a friend with an aspie.

What about female aspies?

I have one other Aspie friend,we have a lot in common.I go to his house weekly for gardening once a week and the first time I went I saw on his bookshelf a book about Asperger's.Like me,his is really subtle, the main thing I notice is his low and soft voice and have a hard time hearing what he is saying. But he has done really, works as a manager for a small company, has a girlfriend, drives and has friends,so it's nice to spend time with him.He is a genuine person.

I meant something similar to the 1ª definition of "sassy". And with "male-ish" I meant "less empathic" (again, incorrect word).
Actually, I've never met and aspie boy/girl, so it's all theory. Maybe I'm wrong.

@IreneS: I was referring to aspies in general.

I've never met someone who is also Asperger, and I'm not sure if I will.

I've never knowingly met another aspie. That said, I would love to meet one, just to see if a friendship would work out better or worse. On the plus side, you would both understand each other better. But on the negative, placing two people with terrible social skills in the same room doesn't sound like a recipe for success.

I kind of want to have an aspie friend but the bolded part worries me. If that person doesn't mind silence then I'll be all up to it.

So how would one go about finding an Aspie friend? Local support groups is the only avenue I can think of.

I have no idea. Apologies for the previous message; it got sent twice by itself, it was an error.

Yes, a few. I have a few Aspie friends, as a matter of fact.
