One thing that is nice about seeing at least a country for the location is that it is a good reminder that the US is not the center of the universe, as Americans tend to think.

It doesn't matter too much for me. But it would be cool to find people who live near me. But I'm kinda scared.

I like knowing where people are from. I don't really care for a specific location in the smaller countries like mine [New Zealand]...but in places like the USA i like it when people include what state they are from.
