Sorry guys, but what the bleep is NT? Normal-something with a t?
I like this topic! Everyone is so intriguing here.
Well, as far as being normal... when I try I look even more awkward because in my head I am thinking 'this is so not you' or something along those lines, so my delivery is completely ruined. It is actually when I try to be funny or hyper or animated. Nope. Just not me. Maybe it could be, someday. Naturally. But I just cant fake it.
I would really, really, really, just like to be okay with who I am. That is how everybody can be happy. Be completely who you are, no inhibitions. And, you know, people will judge, that is how people are, some people can't seem to function in their day WITHOUT judging at least one thing... something odd comes into their sensory experience and they can't just let it be (this just means that they are uncomfortable with who they are at some level, by the way. That is what the urge to pass judgment on others stems from. If that makes you feel better. It makes ME feel better, that insight.) So while the first half is completely being you, uninhibited you, the second, and more important part of being yourself and it being a happy, great thing is learning not to care what other people think or not putting so much gravity on their reactions.
Isn't it so suffocating and miserable hiding so much of yourself day after day? It is for me! Wouldnt we be so much happier just letting it all out???! ! But we dont, and why? Because we are all hypersensitive and the opinions of others hurt. We place much more emphasis on what people think of us than the average person as it is.
The only people that matter are the ones who appreciate you and think you are special. I think everyone should take baby steps. Practice doing one more thing every day that you wouldnt do before, that is a part of who you are, in public!

Well said! Everybody is supposed to smile when they talk. But I can't! I just don't smile and my face is naturally blank. If I try to force a smile it comes out wrong and people freak out even more.
