Why do people lie so much?

Because they are asleep, and it is difficult to sleep standing up.

If people were awake, they would have no reason to lie.

There is more than enough content in truth for truth to serve every purpose.

But to see the truth, you need to be awake.

If your not awake, you need to lie.

We lie to ourselves firstly. And mostly. We ourselves are the *least* aware of our own lies. You can be sure most others are well aware of them. We hate telling other people "you're a liar", so we nod in agreement. When others nod in agreement with you, you've probably not fooled them at all! But you've almost certainly fooled yourself.

It often feels like people just dont want
to tell it like it is, its easier for them not
to face it and instead sneak around it.
Easier, perhaps, but oh so lame. It has
often happend that someone has given
me a lame excuse when i knew how it
really was. That is really annoying and
i usually tell them "just tell me the way
it is and i`m ok with it no matter what,
lie to me and i will get pissed at you".
And still they continue to flip-flop 8O

Good luck with the housing, never mind
that guy, he just wants you out so he can
get someone else in. Find a nicer place
and forget it. As i understandit from reading
your post you`re not close friends or anything
so screw him, dont let him get you down.
