Can having a friend in your class make you act differently?

I had this NT friend in 7th grade who was my best friend she actually talked to me when nobody else would, and in science everyday i was outgoing and actually got a detention for talking to much. But in all other classes that my friend was not in I was SILENT. I would not talk to anyone. I don't quite understand why this was. And I would just go up to people in my science class and talk to them, I had alot of friends in science actually, but they were not in my lunch or any other classes unfortunently.

Can anybody relate?

Yep. When a friend is in my class, I talk to them, but when I have no one to talk to, I'm silent. That's pretty normal.

But I talked to Everyone, I would just go up to them and start talking. I would NEVER do that except in that class.

I guess your friend being there gave you confidence. That happens to me, too.
