I just got off the phone with this girl I met on another forum. We have been talking on IM for about a week. She seemed interested in talking to me on IM. Every minute she sends me a message with enthusiasm. However, when we got on the phone everything went fine, but after 10 minutes, she says she has to go and do something.(she never gave an excuse to get out of a conversation with me on IM prior). As we got on the phone, she never got back to me on IM.

I'm under the impression that my voice turned her off. Maybe the cues in my voice do not portray some form of dominance. There is nothing I can do about it. It's just me.

Maybe it did turn her off. Who really knows unless she tells you herself.

Everybody has their quirks about what they like and what is a turn off. Like you said there is nothing you can do about. Just try again with someone else :)

As far as Aspies having a voice that is a turn off. I know of a person that doesn't think my voice is a turn off. As far as the rest of the Aspies, I cannot speak for them.

Um...maybe she actually had to GO DO SOMETHING?

And who says women are looking for "dominance", per se? 8O

There's nothing I love more than a soft-spoken, intelligent man.

From my limited experiance with aspie voices, they can be expressionless at times and aspies can go off on monologues at times. Like flat monologues that can be hard to listen to and pick out the important parts. Probably the expressionless tones can be a turnoff.
