Since LJBF is about "friendship" rather than "dating", it belongs to "Social Skills and Making Friends" forum. Hence, I am starting the first LJBF thread that is placed in the correct forum

Right, so..... what is this thread for?

It probably has its origins in text speak similar to: LOL, ROFLMAO, BF, GF, etc.
I have never heard of it until now though.

What is the point of this thread?

LJBF is like a smack to the face if I care romantically for one of my friends.Mainly because it's neigh impossible to be just 'be friends' around her and watch her flirt with other guys etc etc.

Lol actually a physical smack to the face would be preferable.At least that way she's somewhat obsessing over what an ass I.Instead of merely being her cute yet forgetable lackey she can't remeber is even there half the time.I also used to be a softy that would let them talk about their boyfriends/guys they liked around me too.

This pretty much reduced me to her doormat.But now I try to either tease her in some way about it,or just bluntly tell her I don't wanna hear about it.And surprisingly this seems to have actually created some feelings of attraction for me a few times.Nothing that serious mind you,but it's definetly an improvement from a few years ago.

The point is the irony of the fact that everyone knows that LJBF is a dating topic when in fact the literal interpretation of the words tells us it is a friendship topic. So I wanted to see what will happen if I discuss it in "making friends" forum rather than "dating" forum where it is usually discussed.
