So very soon my only friend would be shifting out of this colony the entire colony is empty as most of the people
have shifted out, we cant shift out since we dont have that kind of money
She was the only company i had and we used to take a walk every saturday....
none of my office colleagues are friends with me since they are younger, unmarried, college girls
who are working and doing college education through distance education. They almost ignore me.
There is just another old lady who calls me up sometimes as she lives alone and is sick
she asks me to attend spiritual class which i find boring and everything bounces above my head.
If i am left alone i will go mad......i dont know what to do

Are there any volunteering opportunities or community activities you could join for a little no-pressure networking?

someone had asked me to volunteer at a summer camp for autistic children....i could do that but will that provide me with networking???
since i am shy, reclusive i am quite not sure whether i would be able to handle interacting at a unknown place or atleast make any friends.

Sometimes it's worth it to do the scary/uncomfortable thing even though there's no guarantee of a pay-off. It's good practice if nothing else. If the activity really seems too soul-crushing to endure, then by all means don't do it. But if there's some element that seems like it might be interesting, I think it's worth exploring. And if it truly sucks, you can always go back to doing your usual stuff.
Anyway, that's what I tell myself.

the lady who asked me to volunteer seems like a gold digger she is cashing in on this autism stuff
she is keeping a summer camp for autistic children the fees are quite high for 2-3 days camp
and well she wont be paying me anything i am asked to do volunteering again i noticed that she kept a course for teachers
who want to teach autistic children this course is very expensive again and its just one weeks course for few hours i dont think i would like to volunteer for this money greedy lady.
