nt women
There was another thread, I'm too lazy to look it up, but a bunch of AS women were complaining about how they couldn't make friends with NT women in the real world.
An AS guy chimed in: "wow, even you ladies are complaining about how difficult NT women are!" And he was right.
What's up with them? Sociability and Social Status are two of the dominant forces dictating who they approve of and disapprove of for their social circle. "Weird Aspie guy? No way in hell I'd date that loser with no friends and no social skills!" Weird Aspie girl? "pff, no way I'll be her friend, she's an oddball." Since they usually have a good number of men wanting to date them, they can be picky all they want, so the socially inept AS guy isn't even a contender. Since they all think alike, that NT mentality, an AS female in the mix of friends would be of no use to them.
That's the basic thought process of NT women.

If that were the case the people with Asperger’s that I know would not have any female friends. Your assertion is very unfair and inaccurate.
OP, there’s nothing up with NT women (at least most of them!). Lots of men, NT and Asperger’s, can’t get dates and lots of people, NT and Asperger’s, don’t have any friends or can’t seem to make them. If you can’t make friends or get dates, then you are not meeting the right people, which means you need to meet more people to increase the chances of finding someone you like and who likes you in return.

How many of those with Asperger's that you know are male and in a successful relationship with an NT female?
How many of those with Asperger's that you know are female and are part of a social circle of friends where everyone else is an NT female?
Do you NTs even observe these things, or do you always make blanket statements?
I'm an aspie female, and i gotta agree NT women are notoriously hard to become friends with. For me in particular they are just so catty, and don't talk about real things all that often. Now I do have 1 female NT friend that I would consider my best friend. But even then I didn't hang out with her like she does with her other NT female friends. (I moved away but we still talk every little bit, still consider her my best friend) When I am with her I just kinda chill with her in the same room, while she does other things. I will talk about things I like and she will listen. But we don't chat on the phone and go do girly things I guess like the other NT females do together. I don't get that stuff and I can't pretend that well in those situations. I can't figure out what they are going to do next or what is right to gossip about. It is just so confusing and draining being around a bunch of NT females. I can't imagine how the aspie guys feel with all that nonsensical, catty, gossipiness. I feel for you aspie guys.

You are very likely an Aspie.
Diagnosed at 35.
I know one male with Asperger's and he doing okay in a relationship, thank you. Of course there are many people that contribute to these forums that do quite well for themselves in this regard, too.
I know two women with Asperger's. Both have successful social circles. I'm not sure how many of their friends are on the spectrum, but all of our mutual friends are NT.
People, both NT and AS, often make blanket statements with no real evidence to support them. See your original post, as an example.

I know an aspie guy married to an NT girl. I'm an aspie girl with quite a few NT friends.

I think this was a fair observation and I have to agree with it (as a NT female, lol).
Reason #1: NT's have high social skills
Reason #2: Female's have higher social skills than males, on average (this is why aspie females are often mistaken for NT)
Voltron together both reasons and you have the highest on average of the large population with social skills.
So why do people with high social skills reject people with low social skills? My opinion is that most people just don't know enough about autism to know how to be friends with someone on the spectrum so they reject the other person rather than find out. When someone is different it's usually the burden of the different person to show other people how to treat them, unfortunately, and when someone has low social skills, that's usually asking too much. It's kind of a hard situation.
I wish there were autism awareness media campaigns targeted at teenagers and college-aged people like GLBTQ acceptance and anti-bullying campaigns. I think that would help because then NT kids would have a script and know how to act.
