I'm coming from cook county (is this too much info) / north Chicago burbs.

Hi! I'm a 25-year-old college grad, looking into grad school but working in a call center for now and wanting more than anything to pursue my dream of writing about the music industry. I play piano and speak French and Spanish. Single and looking when there's time, mostly just seeking friends and better connections.

I suggest the Great River Event Center (500 Bell St., Dubuque, IA) as a place since it is on the scenic Mississippi with a great view and a walkway to de-stress on, plus it's near great restaurants, casinos, etc.

Julian hotel is also nice, on 200 Main St, Dubuque, IA, has a decent bar and restaurant.

I think it would be fun to walk along the riverfront or visit the Mississippi Museum a few blocks south of the Center or east of the Julian.

I'm coming from Dubuque proper, north side so just 20 minutes drive away in peak traffic.

Think it might have gotten lost over the holidays. Please feel free to introduce yourself or suggest ideas, Wrongplaneteers who can come to fair Dubuque!
