So I am 18 years old in Pennsylvania. I want to know the best way to go about finding aspie groups. I want to hang out with fellow aspies and meet other people like me. But in a controlled comfortable setting. I don't want an AAA style chairs in a circle or something run by a psychiatrists. I want to find a group in Pennsylvania (about 45 min from Philadelphia) that is only aspies and not a clinical or hug and cry session.

Does anyone know how to go about this? Or any helpful information in regards to this?

ASAN has things going on in some areas but not others.

You guys aren't helpful. But thanks for trying AardvarkGoodSwimmer.

Unfortunately i'm at an awkward age for aspergers anyways. Most people are either little kids or 40 year olds. Its rare to see an 18 year old.

Meetup.com is your best bet. There are lots of groups run by and for people with ASD there. Just create a profile there and search for Aspergers and related terms. I hope there is one in your area.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I believe that the "New Horizons Club" might have some information.

These are looking much more helpful. I am looking through all the sites and programs. Actually found one that sounded nice, but $800 non-insurance refundable tuition. Soo.... I am going to keep looking.
